| Formerly known as the Julia Child Cookbook Awards the
IACP Cookbook Awards annually celebrate the year's most
outstanding food and beverage publications. The awards program
(originally Tastemaker's) was created to encourage and promote
quality and creativity in cookbook writing and publishing
and to expand awareness of culinary literature. The IACP
Cookbook Awards have become the industry's most coveted
acknowledgement of excellence in the cookbook publishing
world. Books are judged for a variety of components, including
design, content, general overview, and recipes.
Additional awards presented during the ceremony include
the Jane Grigson Award for the cookbook that exemplifies
distinguished culinary scholarship; the Design Award for
excellence and innovation in a book's visual elements;
and Bert Greene Award for outstanding journalism excellence.
The ceremony will also announce the winners of Awards
of Excellence, which honors individuals who have made
significant contributions in Cooking Schools (vocational);
Entrepreneur/Business; Corporate Marketing Campaign; Humanitarian;
and Lifetime Achievement. |
